The Monchhichi was born in Japan in 1974. Koichi Sekiguchi created it with a simple idea: to make a toy that truly conveyed tenderness. He succeeded admirably. In the 80s, it arrived in Spain, had its own animated series, and captivated an entire generation. And then... it disappeared. Or so it seemed.
Meanwhile, in Japan, it never ceased to exist. It continued to evolve, releasing new collections, gaining fans. And when TikTok started bringing back kawaii aesthetics and Japanese vintage, Monchhichi was there, waiting for its moment.
